Every lumbar cushion on the market is built for an average back, then held on with a strap and a hope. Uprite is built differently. The support panel slides up and down on its mount and locks, so the curve lands exactly where your back curves inward, and stays there all day.
Height is the part everyone gets wrong
Your lumbar curve sits at a specific height. Your chair does not know where that is. Support that lands too low pushes at your belt line and tips your pelvis forward. Too high and it drives your shoulders out over the desk. Either way you end up reaching behind yourself to shove it back into place a dozen times a day, and eventually it lives on the floor.

Twin wings, open spine
Most cushions are a single solid block pressed against your whole lower back, including the bony ridge down the middle that does not want to be pressed. Uprite is two independently flexing wings with an open channel between them. The wings take your weight. Your spine gets left alone.
Each wing flexes on its own, so when you shift or turn to reach something, the support follows instead of fighting you.
It breathes, because it is mostly air

Which one is right for you
Standard. Four-position height adjustment. This is the right choice for most people and most desk chairs.
Pro. Adds pneumatic depth control on top of the height adjustment, so you pump it firmer or bleed it flatter to whatever your back wants that day. Will it fit my chair
It fits standard office chairs, gaming chairs, most car seats and most dining chairs. The strap wraps a backrest up to 22 inches wide.
One honest note on depth. The shell stands 4.3 inches off the backrest at its deepest point. If your seat measures less than about 18 inches from backrest to front edge, that will move you forward on the seat and you will feel it. Measure first. If you are close to the line, the Pro deflates to a noticeably thinner profile and is the safer pick.
Give it two weeks
If you have spent years slouching, sitting upright feels like effort at first. Most people tell us the first few days feel strange, and somewhere around day ten they stop noticing it at all. That is the point. It is also why the trial runs 90 days instead of 14.
The support has to meet the curve. So the curve is what we made adjustable.
Your lumbar curve peaks somewhere between the top of your pelvis and the bottom of your ribs. Where exactly depends on your torso, not your height, which is why two people the same height need the support in two different places. How to set it, and what the first week feels like
Start at position two. Sit a full working day. If the support feels like it is up near your ribs, move it down one. If it feels like it is sitting on your pelvis and doing nothing, move it up one. Most people land within two days.
Day one it feels like too much.
That is your back being held in a position it has not been held in for years. It is the most common reason people return a support in week one, and the most common thing they say they regret in month three. Give it two full weeks before you decide.

How do I know it will land in the right place on my back?
You do not, not on day one, and any brand that tells you otherwise is guessing about your torso. That is what the four positions and the 90 nights are for. Start at position two, sit for a day, and if the support feels like it is up near your ribs or down on your pelvis, move it one position and sit for another day.
Is it going to push me forward like the last one did?
It is 4.3 inches (11 cm) at the deepest point, and we publish that number because most of the category does not. If you have a deep seat pan, that 4.3 inches comes out of your seat depth. The Pro adds pneumatic depth control for exactly this reason: let air out until your upper back reaches the backrest again.
Will it slide down the chair?
The strap goes around the backrest and closes with a quick release buckle, and the height panel locks into a slotted rail rather than resting on friction. It is not an elastic loop over the top of the chair.
Does it get hot?
There is no foam core. The shell is perforated across its whole surface and there is an open channel down the centre, so it does not sit against your back as a sealed block.
Should I just buy a better chair instead?
If your chair is genuinely worn out, yes, buy a chair. If your chair is fine and the lumbar support is landing in the wrong place, a new chair is a $400 to $1,200 way to move a curve two inches, and plenty of people who own a very good chair still strap something to the backrest.
