Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This policy explains what Uprite collects when you visit useuprite.com, what we do with it, and how you tell us to stop.
Uprite is operated by Uprite, a trading name of Hamza Erdem Turfanda, Jekerstraat 19, 4105 ZD Culemborg, Netherlands.
We sell to customers in the United States only.
What we collect
When you buy something. Your name, shipping address, billing address, email address, phone number if you give it, and what you ordered. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
When you contact us. Your email address and whatever you write to us.
When you sign up for email. Your email address.
Automatically, when you browse. Your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, how long you stay, and what you click. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies. See "Cookies and tracking" below.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health records. We do not ask you about your health, and you should not send us health information. Uprite is a seating product, not a medical service.
We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Why we collect it
- To take, charge for, ship and support your order.
- To answer your emails.
- To send you marketing email, if you asked for it.
- To measure which ads and pages actually produce sales.
- To detect and prevent fraud and chargebacks.
- To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We do share it with the companies that make the store work, and with advertising platforms in a way that some US state laws define as "sharing" or as a "sale". You can opt out of that. See "Your choices".
| Who | What they get | Why | |---|---|---| | Shopify | Order, account and browsing data | Runs the store, checkout and hosting | | Shopify Payments | Payment and billing data | Takes payment, screens fraud | | Our fulfilment partner and carriers | Name, address, phone, order contents | Delivers the package | | Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram) | Pixel and Conversions API events, hashed email for matching | Ad measurement and targeted advertising | | Google (Google Analytics 4 , Google Ads ) | Site usage events | Analytics and ad measurement | | Taboola and Outbrain | Conversion events | Ad measurement | | Shopify Email | Email address, order history | Sends order and marketing email | | | Email address, order details | Sends review requests, hosts reviews |
We also disclose information when the law requires it, when we need to enforce our terms, and to a buyer if the business is ever sold.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for three things:
- Necessary. Keeping you logged in, keeping your cart, processing checkout, and security. The store does not work without these.
- Analytics. Understanding which pages people read and where they leave.
- Advertising. The Meta pixel and the Meta Conversions API tell Meta which visits and purchases came from which ad, and let us show ads to people who visited but did not buy.
You can block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies will break checkout.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the rights below. Exercising them costs nothing and we will not give you a worse price or a worse service for using them.
- Right to know. Ask us what categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you in the last 12 months, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
- Right to delete. Ask us to delete what we hold, subject to exceptions such as completing your order, fraud prevention, and legal record keeping.
- Right to correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. Tell us to stop sharing your information with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising. Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer, or email us.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined, so there is nothing to limit. If that changes, this page changes.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you products, charge you more, or give you a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.
Categories collected in the last 12 months, using the CCPA's own category names: identifiers; customer records information (name, address, phone, payment information); commercial information (products purchased and considered); internet or network activity (browsing and interaction with our site and ads); and inferences drawn from the above (for example, that you are likely interested in office seating).
Categories disclosed for a business purpose: all of the above, to the vendors listed in "Who we share it with".
Categories shared for cross-context behavioral advertising: identifiers, commercial information, internet or network activity.
We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.
Authorized agents. You can have someone submit a request for you. We will ask for written proof that you authorized them, and we may still ask you to confirm directly.
How to submit a request. Email support@useuprite.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will confirm within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, extendable by another 45 if we tell you why. We verify your identity by matching the details you give us against our order records, and if we cannot match you we will tell you rather than guess.
Rights in other states
If you live in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island, or another state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have broadly the same rights: access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising and profiling.
Use the same email address and the same subject line. We apply these rights to every US customer who asks, rather than checking your state first.
If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our response with the word "Appeal". We will answer the appeal within 45 days and, where your state requires it, tell you how to contact your Attorney General.
Marketing email
Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom and it works on the first click. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional email about an order you actually placed.
How long we keep things
Order records: 7 years, because tax and accounting rules require it. Support email: 3 years. Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we do not accidentally email you again. Analytics and advertising identifiers: per the retention settings of the platform, typically 14 to 26 months.
Security
We use HTTPS across the store, and payment data is handled by PCI DSS compliant processors rather than by us. No system is perfectly secure and we are not going to claim otherwise. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Where your information is processed
Our vendors, including our fulfilment partner, are located in the United States and outside it, including in China for order fulfilment. Your name, address and phone number are transmitted to our manufacturing partner so they can ship your order to you. Nothing else is.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top. If the change is material, we will say so on the site.
